Public Education & Fire Safety
The Milford Fire Department is very active in Fire Prevention. Each year in October we visit the area schools to talk to the children from pre-k up through 2nd grade on Fire Safety. We also have a full-time Fire Marshal dedicated to upholding the State and local fire codes.

Crawl Low Under Smoke
If you encounter smoke using your primary exit, use your alternate route instead. If you must exit through smoke, clean air will be several inches off the floor.
Get down on your hands and knees, and crawl to the nearest safe exit.
